Awaken is inspired by the stunning natural habitats which are located in the hinterland region of Byron Bay. This artwork features the native coastal banksia which has self seeded and created a forest on one side of my property. The forest has become a dependent food source to a thirty plus population of yellow tailed cockatoos.
